The 2024 Sun Yat-sen University Academic Forum on "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" and Interdisciplinary Studies is held

In the run-up to the centenary of Sun Yat-sen University, in response to the national "dual carbon" strategic goals and to promote interdisciplinary research and cooperation, the 2024 Sun Yat-sen University "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" and Interdisciplinary Academic Forum was held on September 19th at the Huaishi Hall in the South Campus of the Guangzhou Campus. The forum is hosted by Sun Yat-sen University, organized by the School of Engineering and the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Sun Yat-sen University, and co-organized by the School of Civil Engineering, the School of Advanced Energy, and the School of Materials Science and Engineering. The forum focused on the theme of "Opportunities and Challenges of Interdisciplinary Research under the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals", deeply exchanged views on deepening interdisciplinary cooperation, shared experiences and practices in scientific and technological innovation, and effectively addressed the major challenges faced in the process of achieving the goals.
