To respond to the national " Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality " strategy and leverage the interdisciplinary advantages of the Institute, we are now openly recruiting outstanding postdoctoral researchers to conduct cutting-edge research in the "Dual Carbon" field. The specific details are as follows:

I. Introduction to the Institute

Sun Yat-sen University's Institute for Carbon Neutrality and Green Development is a core scientific research institution established by Sun Yat-sen University through the integration of high-quality resources in disciplines such as energy, materials, environment, engineering, and economics. It serves as a benchmark platform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for academic research, technological development, and industrial transformation in the " Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality " field.

II. Recruitment Requirements

(I) Major Requirements

Graduates from renowned domestic and overseas universities or research institutions, with majors in chemistry, materials science, physics, environmental science, ecology, and other related fields. Priority will be given to those focusing on research areas including carbon accounting, carbon sequestration processes, emission reduction technologies, carbon conversion and resource utilization. Candidates with experience in "Dual Carbon" projects or relevant achievements will be preferred.

(II) Application Qualifications

Uphold the Constitution of the People's Republic of China, abide by national laws and regulations, and possess good moral character.

Demonstrate good academic ethics, innovation capabilities, have certain scientific research accumulation and great development potential, and have no records of scientific research misconduct.

Be under 35 years old (calculated based on the date of entering the postdoctoral station), have obtained a doctoral degree within 3 years, or be a recent graduate who has passed the doctoral dissertation defense.

Possess strong research capabilities and writing skills, and be able to fulfill postdoctoral research work diligently and responsibly.

Have achieved remarkable research results, with multiple first-author research papers published in international mainstream academic journals.

Commit to working full-time in the laboratory during the employment period.

III. Job Responsibilities

Participate in various scientific research projects undertaken by the research group.

Assist in organizing and coordinating academic activities of the laboratory, and participate in international academic cooperation and exchanges.

Independently or assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in project management, project application, participation in research project design, and writing papers or patents.

Assist in guiding graduate students.

IV. Support and Benefits

The salary will be implemented in accordance with the postdoctoral management regulations of Sun Yat-sen University, including basic salary and performance allowances. In addition, subsidies will be provided based on the participation in projects.

Eligible candidates can apply for faculty apartments or housing subsidies in accordance with the university's regulations. The Institute will assist in handling the procedures for settling in Guangzhou and enrolling children in kindergartens or primary schools.

Social insurance and housing provident fund ("Five Insurances and One Fund") will be paid in accordance with relevant regulations. Candidates will enjoy the same benefits as university faculty and staff, such as annual physical examinations and holiday benefits.

Support will be provided for applying for postdoctoral science funds, National Natural Science Foundation projects, etc., with sufficient scientific research funds and experimental conditions available.
